Bostic– Musical Director
Kathryn Bostic has composed and arranged music for numerous films, plays, TV commercials and concerts. She is a recipient of a Sundance Fellowship for Film Scoring and has scored music to several independent features and shorts. Recently she composed and arranged the music for “The Gem of the Ocean” by award-winning playwright August Wilson which premiered at The Mark Taper Forum. Kathryn was also commissioned by the Kennedy Center to compose and perform a jazz score for “Harlem”. Theater credits include The Public Theater, The Cleveland Playhouse, Baltimore Center Stage, Syracuse Stage and The Children’s Theater. She has performed with her own group as a vocalist and pianist in various clubs and festivals internationally and in the United States. These include London’s Ronnie Scotts, The Blue Note (Tokyo & Osaka), The Copenhagen Jazz Festival, Cape May Jazz Festival - New Jersey and Birdland – JVC Jazz Festival New York. She has also performed and /or recorded with numerous artists including Japanese composer and artist Ryuichi Sakamoto, k.d. lang, John Hiatt, The Manhattans, Rod Stewart and David Byrne
