Joel Daavid received
the AFI's Cinematography Achievement Award for his work on
the film, “The Visitor” and was nominated for the Eastman
Kodak Scholarship. He
has completed the feature film “John John In The Sky” which
was a winner at the Mississippi Film Festival and MethodFest and has
recently been released on DVD. Joel has received critical acclaim for
his theatrical designs including: “The Day Room”,
“The Glass Menagerie”, “All God’s Creatures”,
“Blitzkrieg”, “Music Biz”, “4 X Tenn”,
“7 Women”, “Unequalibrium”, “Kiss of the
Spider Woman”, “Goose and Tom Tom”, “The Widow’s
Blind Date” and “Plunge.” He was recently awarded
Best Set Design
at the NAACP Theater Awards this past January for “Blues for an
Alabama Sky.” Joel would like to thank all his crew for making
this project come to life on the stage. Special thanks to Corrie for
being there, making me laugh and making your presence in my life extraordinary.
